Dare To Live This Week Fully

On presence, self trust, and the courage to feel alive.

3 min read

This week, remember to live day by day as you walk through existence. Refrain from doubting your steps, for even the idea, the fear, and the feeling of being lost is also the soul’s creative act of finding a new way.

Do not worry about death. As you live each moment, it will come anyway, but only when existence wills. Right now, you are alive, and living is all that matters.

But why are you trying to allow the idea, the shame, the guilt, and the fear of comparison creep in as you are trying to begin your day, even though you are aware that it will stop you from truly seeing, listening, considering and giving yourself what you need to feel and grow this week?

You have not even lived this week before, yet you are already certain of what it will become and feel like. Why the relentless urge to control life or condition living experiences when it has not been lived, as though you have forgotten that life expressions can only be creatively, compassionately, emotionally-intelligently, and sacredly governed, and not controlled?

You always do this to yourself in the face of unfamiliar or new experiences. No wonder you feel no remorse sharing the same ill feelings and energy towards others and feel vengeful when they decline taking that which you are serving them, for bitterness is most hurtful when it is felt alone.

You have mastered the act of calling expectations prayers, just to make them feel sacred, and turned your fear of trying something new and making mistakes into the imagined hands of thought made devils and perception created enemies, so as not to feel the pain buried in the regret of impulsivity. Why do you not consider yourself in all your living projections? If there are no safe places or stories outside of you for you to be a main character in, don’t you think you are worthy to be the main character in your own story, or even try to make your world safe to live in it and be generous enough to let others in?

You struggle to forgive yourself for not knowing what only mistakes can teach. No wonder the process of learning from failure feels like dying, instead of an art and act of playful self expression.

Are you being fair to yourself? Do you not remember that not considering self always is also an act of self harm?

Can’t you see the spring leaves, how eager they are, embracing growth individually and change collectively without shame or guilt? They evolve in each living moment of growth, in quiet anticipation of being young, wild, and free in summer.

Can’t you see the child, finding joy in failure and playing in self expression and life experiencing? It knows that each time it falls while learning to walk is proof that growth is time dependent. For time requires active patience, loving interest, and attentive action rooted in self belief. Yet the child rises with precision and curious excitement, trying again without hesitation, paying no mind to the idea of the fear of falling while expressing itself in time.

Learn from the child as much as you learn from nature this week. For happiness is only a choice away, just as contentment is only a feeling away.

You owe it to yourself to see yourself, to listen to yourself, to understand yourself, and to consider yourself, even as you learn to see, listen, understand and consider the reflection of yourself in others.

Have a lively and eventful week.
